The San Francisco POE was a breeze. There is a special line for new immigrants and this went faster than other passengers on the flight. I highly recommend San Francisco over Los Angeles. |

LAX was a breeze. A very nice officer chatted and joked with her for about ten minutes. |

POE procedures were simple at Chicago. Went thru the lines for US CITIZENS/PERMANENT RESIDENTS. Showed my wife's passport and Yellow envelope and customs declaration form. Immigration Officer put everything in pink folder, told us to collect our baggage and follow to red channel. There was a desk titled "NEW IMMIGRANTS". I gave pink folder with everything to officer. He called my wife over, took her index finger's fingerprint twice and told her to sign twice, stamped the passport and told us to proceed to customs officer. Then we moved to scanner, pur our bags for scanning and left the area....She was officially in US. |
