Dennis & Andrea CDN-USA Border 2008-09-19 No No - High We crossed at Emerson/Pembina (Manitoba/North Dakota). It was really easy for us. We drove into our lane at the crossing and explained what we were doing, the guy typed information into his computer and then chatted with us (I think he was waiting for information on his computer), he asked how we had met and what the process had been like for us...very friendly. He then waved us into the parking lot and told us to go into the building. We sat and waited a couple of minutes until the officer called us up. It was his first K-1 visa, so he had to look everything up (I saw that his book said NOT to issue a temp EAD...I asked anyway, but he didn't do it). He was very friendly and chatted with us while he got everything done. The officer tried to give us our file with all of the original information in it. I told him that I thought he was supposed to keep it and he went to ask another officer...which was fun because it gave us a few minutes to look through it and see what was there. ;) Nothing interesting in there, though...but I got to see the approval stamp which was nice to actually see after the whole process. :) Dennis' car was packed full, but they didn't ask about it or look into it. It took about 45 minutes total, then he congratulated us on our upcoming marriage and told us we could enter the US. 2011-06-16
