My fiance had to wait in a separate room, where he was questioned for an hour. The homeland security officer called my cell phone and questioned why we purchased a round trip ticket for a k-1, and seemed to be confused, but I finally clarified it to him (he mentioned that he had never seen a k-1 visa holder purchase a round trip). Everything else was just fine!!!
I think that clarifies which kind of ticket to purchase for a k-1 coming out of Egypt (no matter what people there tell you). |

Apparently the officers were flexing their ego and making everyone feel less important than them. Really sad. |

The officer was rude, I traveled with my fiancee and the officer said: "you know that the only propose of the visa is to get married within 90 days and that's it" and my fiancee trying to joke around with the officer that was being very rude said: is next monday soon enough?? lol... and the officer said: that is not my problem...... :@ |

Was immediately directed to Immigration Officer. When asked if the "Employment Authorized" stamp would be given, the IO responded VERY gruffly that my then-fiance was "not to perform any work at all, paid or unpaid, until the green card was received". But he still did receive the stamp on his passport. Go figure. Other than that, it was hassle free. |
