Everyone was very nice (JFK). Our second POE after recieving the CR1 visa was through Washington D.C. This Customs/Immigration was friendly and clean and there was a short line. I highly recommend this POE over JFK which I've been through JFK several times and they're always so busy. |

The hardest thing about LAX was waiting in line. The staff were very friendly and polite. |

The entry into the US was very very easy. The customs agents allowed me to accompany Luisa into the waiting area, we sat for a few minutes and then she was called up. The gentleman saw me with her and asked me to join her. He asked her a series of questions in Spanish and then turned to ask me something in spanish as well. Not understanding his question (He had a strong Cuban accent) Luisa asked the question again only in english to me, I answered and then the guy said, "Oh you speak english." She was then asked a few more questions and that was it. Very very easy! |

US Entry was very striaghtforward. Immigration offered David best wishes after asking a few quick questions for verfication purposes. |

Very easy.
Asked several small talk questions ("how'd you guys meet? Where are you going?" etc.) then gave her directions (in Russian!) about which train to take to her transfer flight. |

I entered at the Pembina North Dakota crossing south of Winnipeg. It was all very quick and they never asked any questions at all. I went inside and gave them the papers and they had 3 people try to figure out how to process it. After a couple minutes they called me up and took the 6 dollar fee and did the finger prints.
I had a cat in the car and all my things and never asked to see anything else. They gave me the passport with the entry page and stamp and a piece of paper to adjust status within 90 days and explained that very nicely and was on my way. |
