Relatively hassle-free, but could have been faster. There are two immigration areas in Chicago, the window for new immigrants being in the left area. Lines in the left area are also shorter. |

Holy CRAP - This was EASY!!! So far, this whole process has gone quickly and very smooth. We were terrified that they would f*** with us - nothing bad has happened yet!
I am still holding my breath, but right now it looks good for my wife & step-daughter. We have the EAD and the AP (good thing too, her dad passed away and she was able to go home for the funeral).
We have Roschelle's SSN on order, and we are waiting for the Green Card. |

Officer did not know about K3 Visa. Had to ask his co-worker.
No long wait at all when sent to the special immigration office. Took about 15 minutes. |
