At Dulles airport I had to go to the visitor's lane as the Citizens and Residents' only have the new electronic kiosk. The officer stamped my passport and sent me to a different lane, where another officer processed my package and made me sign a form and got my fingerprint. This entire process took no more than 10 minutes. My customs form had been marked by the officer and I was sent to luggage inspection. This took probably 15 minutes because there were several people ahead of me. |

No harassment or complications whatsoever, the first officer was kinda moody but who wouldn't be at 6 am, ahaha! Even with a technical issue regarding my visa's barcode that refused to work, he was still very polite. I'd definitely recommend to travel during the night so you'll get there early in the morning while they are not super busy. Other than that, I hope you get your visa soon and travel safe, and most importantly, have an amazing life in the US. Cheers! |

On arrival asked an agent which line to enter and they said the visitor line. The agent there processed a few things and took my fingerprints digitally before telling my wife that this process would take a while and that she should collect our bags and wait downstairs at baggage claim.
I was then sent to desk 74 which appears to be for processing all new immigrants. They took a physically fingerprint of my index finger there using black ink on two sides of a particular form, and also had me sign my signature in a box. After that it was sit around for about 20 minutes while he processed some stuff at his desk. After that i was called his desk and he gave me my completed passport including entry stamp with my alien number on the stamp, and a note explaining what the stamp could be used for, and that my green card would arrive in 4-6 months. |
