Al1ygator F & B Los Angeles 2014-06-18 - High Officer said it had been a looong time since he had handled a K1 so he went to get another officer. They dismissed me and kept my fiance at the desk. I wasn't allowed to stay in sight of him, so I waited down by baggage claim. I was worried they wouldn't let him through and he had no phone, no way to buy anything and I had all of his bags! The officer apparently said to my fiance that he didn't know how he got this visa because for K-1 you're supposed to be engaged for 3 years........?? But he finally let him through. Don't know where he got the 3 yr rule from lol. 2018-08-31

Sammamishexpat Susana & Stacy San Francisco 2014-06-20 Yes - High The customs agent was somewhat rude...must have been having a bad day. The lines were not too long. 2017-02-01
JaiJessica Jai & Jessica Charlotte 2014-06-20 No Yes - High The POE was quick. The immigration check took less than 10 mins. The immigration section at Charlotte airport is not huge like JFK. There was one other guy at the immigration. They took my K1 visa packet and asked what was my fiance's name and date of birth and when was the wedding. 2014-11-20
Rachel & Stephan Detroit 2014-06-20 No Yes - High Took about one hour from the time I arrived at the border to the time I left. The first agent I spoke to at the booth was wonderful- friendly, welcoming and funny. He filled out an orange declaration slip for me and I moved onto secondary. The secondary screening office is a little intimidating. There are many officers, all with the same stern look on their face. I signed in and took a seat. When I was called up, they had me fill out a vehicle import form. The CBP officer at the desk was much less excited about processing me than the first. He told me to wait while he readied my I94 and vehicle import papers. He did this, explained to me that I can't cross the border again and gave me all my documents. All in all, a good experience! Happy to be in the U.S. with no hassle! 2020-02-04
