Everything went very smooth at JFK airport. As Soon as I got out of the airplane, i rushed to the immigration counters which were surprisingly empty... Handed the envelope, the I94 and the passport to the officer and then after he typed something on the computer, took my fingerprints, asked me when I'll get married and stamped my passport with the date and wrote K1. I Thought that was all ...but he asked me to follow him into a separate room and wait. Another officer took my passport and the documents from envelope, typed something on his pc, asked me if I really wanted to get married and then stamped my I94 and stapled it to the passport and told me to make sure I marry in 90 days. Was out in 20 min. |

I waited almost 2 and half hours just to get through immigration. CBP officer was a very rude lady. It took her 15 minutes to interview me. Biometrics and finderprints taken. She asked me questions like what is his job, if I know his name' where does he live etc etc. I got through customs like in 10 minutes' that part was easy. So make sure that you fill I-94 form and customs form before you go immigration and customs. |

2hrs of waiting so beware if in transit. alot of people immigrating at same time with only 1 gate to go through so it took a while. Not really friendly, but i guess it was because of the overly busy time i was there.
Not much said other then, write name here and here...sign here...and get married within 90 or you will have problems.....NEXT. |
