Gavin came in through LAX, he used Visa Waiver for entry. He was sent to secondary inspection. IO gave him hassle because he didn't declare bringing enough money to stay in the country even though Gavin said he was staying with his Mrs. IO's supervisor approved entry. Took us nearly 3 hours to get past immigration. |

No problems getting through immigration. The official opened my pack, looked through it and stamped me in. However, after filing the AOS I received an RFE indicating that USCIS had not received my DS-2053 (medical exam, which was in the pack), so get a copy of the medical exam and submit that with the I-485 just in case (it's probably a good idea to get the vacinations transcribed to the I-693 also, just in case -- see the forum threads for civil surgeons willing to do this for $25, as there's a tendency for them to try to charge for the full medical). |
