When Sandy arrive TSA representative was trying to come on to her. Rubbing her hand and winking at her. Telling her he will be her fiance. I was a little upset but, I did not want to ruin our mood. |

Officer was polite, processed both of us together. I forgot to ask about EAD. Had to be screened by customs. They didn't open any of our bags. I guess shrimp, dried squid, mushrooms and green bean are ok. They were the only non processed foods we brought with us besides coffee and tea.

very odd. since I flew from Dublin, US immigration did everything they needed to do there, before I even got on the plane to LAX. all paperwork completed quickly and walked straight through immigration and customs when i landed at LAX. |

nice immigration officer. but i wasted my time falling in line at the first time immigrant lane. i should have fallen in line at the non-immigrant/visitor lane. hehehe!!! |

It took 2+ hours for Rajan to exit from international arrivals at LAX. Apparently there were 3 checkpoints for him (2 immigration checks and 1 customs check) and they interrogated him intensely. Rajan says they asked him nearly 50 questions from "How did you meet?" to "Why don't you have a return ticket?" They seemed not to believe his story about how we met and fell in love. He was escorted to the exit and I was even questioned by customs officer: Q:"When are you getting married?" A:"ASAP!" Q:"Are you going to file an extension for him?" A:"Yes, if needed." He looked perplexed and a little angry, I have no idea why, and ended with, "Be sure you get married within 90 days". I was peeved. Anyways, it doesn't matter now. Rajan is here! |
