kim & james Los Angeles 2005-09-19 No Yes - High Officer seemed a bit annoyed with the people in front of me.. there was a problem with his passport then my turn.. because I had everything he needed and he opened the packet there.. instead of going somewhere else, everything went well and I was told welcome to America. 2007-07-17
Theresa & Sundy Los Angeles 2005-07-12 No No - High No problems encountered at POE. 2009-08-26
Johnny & Lisa Los Angeles 2005-12-27 No Yes - High No problem getting through POE at LAX; Johnny was quickly identified as a K-1, apparently due the sealed envelope he was carrying with the medical exam info. The immigration official who approved entry told him that he is lucky because his wife "makes a lot of money" -- ha ha. So it seems he took a good look at the Affidavit of Support! 2006-08-10
Cameron & Ronni Los Angeles 2005-09-10 No Yes - High The officer must have been new to the job and needed assistance from a colleague. He asked questions such as "Is your fiancée Australian as well?" and "How long do you intend to stay in the US?". Clearly not briefed on what a K1 actually entails. The other officer seemed to know what is to happen and told the other what to fill out etc. I was issued an A number, which will be my green card no. when I receive it. He forgot to write this no. in my passport and followed me to baggage claim to do so. Not what I expected from a US Immigration Officer. 2009-10-23
matt & chanin Los Angeles 2005-08-03 No Yes - High 2008-11-17
Maria & Gene Los Angeles 2005-09-06 No Yes - High Entering on my K1 visa here at LAX was easier than when entering as a tourist on the visa waiver programme. I was asked absolutely no questions whatsoever, a total breeze, in and out in 10 minutes. 2006-03-25
Marina & Doug Los Angeles 2005-10-22 No No - High She said it was all of 5min, easy. 2006-04-16
Rosemary & Mike Los Angeles 2005-10-18 Yes - High We saved HEAPS of time by approaching a supervisor rather than joining the line. He looked after us while we waited for them to open the magic envelope, directing us to go get our luggage to save us time later, and letting us sit down to wait. 2010-11-05
Claudeth & Jim Los Angeles 2005-07-13 No No - High The POE officer was very friendly and helpful to Claudeth. 2008-11-20
Truth Nicky & Keith Los Angeles 2004-10-05 No Yes - High 2005-05-18
