We were in non-citizen line and since the citizen line was empty we were directed to go there and the officer was very nice and asked about wedding plans. Then we were directed to secondary interview area. There were lots of people standing and sitting down but they provided us drinks and a snack. In 40 minutes and few questions later my fiancee step on the US soil but 100 degree F temperature different on that January evening. |

She had to go to secondary questioning after going through the initial immigration checkpoint and gathering her luggage. She was questioned by 2 additional agents. She said the agent at the first checkpoint was friendly and very brief. One of the agents in secondary questioning was courteous and to the point, but she said the second agent asked a lot of questions and was kind of rude. He also raised an eyebrow at our age difference (10+ years) but she eventually got through. Total time from touchdown to exiting immigration/customs was approximatley 1 1/2 hours so not too bad. |

The officer seemed very unsure of how to process a K-1 entry, which made me rather worried that something would be done wrong.
He was polite and friendly throughout my time at his desk and was calling out to colleagues either side of him to make sure he was doing eveything correctly.
He welcomed me to the US and I was finally here. |
