POE was VERY friendly and extremely easy. Not too long of a wait... and the only question asked was what date we were married, that's it! In and out in minutes. |

I flew to USA alone via Delta Airline. Have 3 hours lay over in Japan, and 3 hours in Seattle before connecting flight to Houston. I spend 25 mins with IO. IO asked when will i get married and to make sure to marry before I-94 expires. I was just in my seat til he finish checking my papers. Then i was good to go. I receive no yellow paper which is supposed to be given to me for my ff-up medical exam here in USA. |

Seattle POE is notoriously slow. Very crowded and not many officers. After 40 minutes of waiting, they directed us to a new line and a new window opened. The officer was extremely friendly and funny. I gave him my brown envelop and apologized that it was a bit torn after 20 hours of traveling around the world. He didn't seem to bother which was relieving. Photo and fingerprints as usual. Then he opened the envelop, stapled the I-94 on my passport and told me that I had to get married within 90 days and friendly suggested me to report any kind of ''domestic abuse'' if ever. He was very relaxed and knew what he was doing. I went to collect my bags and that was it! No extra questions asked. |

The Passport Control area was packed with people and I ended up waiting in a line for over an hour just to get to the CBP officer. I gave the envelop and my passport to the officer, and he got me another officer to take me to an area with officers processing immigration visa. Once I got there, the whole process took only about 15-20 minutes. |

Went through immigration smoothly in less than 15 mins. The CBP officer were very nice (Asked how long have we've been married, why we waited for too long before husband petitioned me? and then confirmed my US address). Told that GC will arrive in 4-6 weeks, my IR-1 visa will serve as my temp. GC and that I can use it to get SSS and drivers/state ID. Then went down to pick up luggage, pass through costum with no problems (was asked if we have balut or chicharon). Rode the subway to the north airport station and tada!! hubby was there.
We landed at around 12noon via Asiana Airline and got out at 12:50pm. |
