My fiancee and I flew to Seattle together. I got in the non-citizen line with her and we approached the immigration counter together. The officer could not have been nicer. He was all smiles the entire time and kept saying congratulations. We were ushered to a secondary inspection area where we waited for about an hour since there were a number of individuals ahead of us. All of the immigration officers were very respectful. Thank you Seattle! |

Expect a longer document check. Give yourself at least 4-5 hours between connection flight (if you have any). I missed mine because handicap people are being checked first and there were many of them.
Good luck, and take your time between flights. |

Very smooth POE apart from the wait as immigrants were put on a special section while officers checking the documents inside the big white envelope.

Questions asked were: 1) When did you get engaged? 2) What was your job in your home country/what kind of work do you plan to pursue in the US? 3) Where will you stay in the US? 4) Do you plan to marry within 90 days? |
