Erin & Jason CDN-USA Border 2009-09-11 - High Alexandria Bay, NY My POE experience was pretty uneventful. They were quite busy, so it took a long time. I think I was there for nearly 3 hours, but most of that time was spent sitting and waiting. The officer who was processing everything for me had never dealt with a CR-1 before, but he was really nice and polite and thorough. He checked lots of details with his supervisor, and while that added to the wait, I appreciated that he took the time to verify that everything was being done correctly so that I wouldn't encounter any problems down the road. He gave me a copy of the form I have to send in if I change my address and explained it. He also gave me a copy of the I-751 form and said I'd need it eventually but he wasn't sure of the details. Heh. I also imported my car and that was pretty simple, too. The officer filled out the forms for me, so all I had to do was provide him with my car registration and compliance letter and sign the forms. He then made a few sets of copies of everything for me. It wasn't a bad experience at all. 2012-01-26
Joyce & Tim CDN-USA Border 2009-08-18 No No - High Too easy. Had to wait in secondary for about an hour before my name was called. But after that...filled out I-94, Visa got stamped, package was delivered, was told to have a happy wedding. No checking through luggage or anything. 2013-12-11

Erynn & David CDN-USA Border 2009-03-12 No Yes - High After my interview at the consulate they gave me a manila envelope.....which was taped and said "DO NOT OPEN". If you open it you will have to start the process all over again. I left from the Montreal airport to enter the U.S. When you go through customs they ask you all the normal information: reason for entering; tell them you are using your K-1 Fiancee Visa for entry. They verify your information on your passport, take your finger prints; then the Officer takes you, along with your passport, and manila envelope to Immigration. In the Immigration office, I just had to sit and wait until my name was called. I also had to fill out the I-94 Card in which they staple inside your passport. The Immigration officer asked me a few questions and that was it! It was honestly nothing to worry about; they didn't even check my bags! 2009-10-03
Robin & Jeremiah CDN-USA Border 2007-07-01 No No - High As a CDN citizen who didn't receive passport stamp or visitation visa, I needed to send a notarized letter describing the details of my entry. 2011-01-30
