Lost one piece of luggage that didn\\\\\\\'t show up for 47 days. ALWAYS use luggage tags with your name, address, and current phone number - that was the only way they eventually associated us to the bag. |

Immigration only took 2 mins once I got to the desk (long line though). Very easy. |

The POE was a breeze. The man stamped what he needed to stamp, another man asked questions about how we had met, then joked about 'having' to get married.
All in all, VERY painless. |

They were very serious and "angry-looking", but they did not harass me at all. Asked me if I had ever met my husband in real life, I thought that was quite funny! The entire process from going through the first and second clerks and being on my way to get my luggage was about 1 hour 20 minutes. It mostly consisted of sitting on a bench waiting for my name to be called to the second clerk. I saw other immigrants being taken into a room for what I can only assume was more in depth interviews. Im glad I was not one of them! When I was called to the clerk, she handed me my paperwork and sent me on my way! Did not get an "Welcome to the USA". She hardly even looked at me. I was a happy camper though!
My luggage was luckily for me already picked up and sent on to my domestic flight home! I even had 20 minutes to spare at the gate before my connecting flight out of Chicago! |

Immigration took his fingerprints and welcomed him to the U.S. Customs congratulated him on his engagement. No problems at all. Over and done with in a few minutes. |

All in all, fairly simple if a little lengthy POE. They did scrutinise all my paperwork for what seemed an age. Asked quite a few questions about my fiancee and where we will be living etc. Also asked me when we were getting married. No other issues after that even though I had all my possessions in 4 huge bags in full view of customs officers! |
