For the most part everything went smoothly. Once I arrived I was quickly asked questions such as who my petitioner was, where she lived and what my profession was in Germany. Unfortunately there was a print error on my visa stamp, so the wrong gender was in there. Thankfully the officers were all quite friendly and told me to contact USCIS to get the error fixed and they changed it in their own systems. All in all it took around 45 minutes, but only because of the small error. Everyone was friendly and it was very uncomplicated. The worst is over!! :D |

POE at Atlanta was super easy I just told them my visa type and i was ushered into the line near the tri-pod area waited in line for about 5 mins it wasn't a busy day but staff seemed low cuz i was second in line. I walked up to an officer that was a bit stern but still had a bit of humor I was asked who I was going to see, how i met my fiance, how many times he had been to my country seemed more like a convo than an interrogation, he took my fingerprints then sent me over to the tripod area where i waited for about 5 mins, my name was called i went up to the officer who asked if i had any food drugs etc i was taking with me then he handed me passport and said you know how long you have to get married if not you must return home immediately I said yes sir and he welcomed me to America total time spent less than 20 mins had a 1hr and 53 mins layover I had no problems finding my connection because the staff were super friendly my first experience flying and i was blown away at the great service loved it. |

POE was through atlanta. It was faster than i expected. They have 2 CBA there that process individuals with immigrant visa packets which is like all the way to the right of the US visitors line. The guy took my packet and my passport and opened it and then he started quizzing me, general questions like i experienced at the interview. the How,where, when we met while putting my I-94 information in the computer. finally stamped my visa and stapled the I94 form in my passport with the date Dec 27 on it. at the end, he gave me a sheet of paper with general information about the K1 and the 3 months to get married and about AOS, AP and EAD. overall, it was a great experience |
