They entered her I-94, Visa and passport info into the system. Stamped the passport and I-94 and said "OK, you are ready to go. She's all yours!". Total time waited was 5-10 minutes. |

Should have been registered for NSEERS, but not sure what happened. Did get a RFE when processing the green card to show evidence of NSEERS. |

The interview took about 30 minutes, during which time the officer said that if I tried to live in the US illegally without going through with the marriage, he would 'hunt me down and kill' me! All in good humour but still.... He asked lots of questions including why I was leaving it so long between entering the US and getting married. I also asked if I could get a work permit - he said I couldn't. |

We only had a slight issue going through immigration in Houston. We were asked a couple of questions, sent to a small room to fill out a form we needed (I-94), and then we were on our way! The whole thing took about 10 minutes. Not really a big deal. |

Took too long, about 30 minutes in line and 1 hour waiting for her to get called in. Luckily nobody took our suitcases as they were the only ones left from baggage claim. Plus we almost missed our connection flight. |

My fiance and I went together through the visitors line, the officer on the booth took my fingerprints and picture and instructed my fiance (US citizen) to wait for me while they took to me a separate room where I was called by my name to a cubicle where another officer asked me the following:
1. Where did you and your fiance meet?
2. How many times have you visit each other and where?
3. Where else? ( I forgot we met once in Spain). But I answered and he said "OK".
4. What was your work field in Guatemala?
5. Do you know the rest of the process? I was nervous and said no, because I thought there was more processing at the POE and he meant the K-1 Process! LOL
The whole interview was conducted in spanish, the officer was very nice to me. I asked him if they ever issue EAD when using a K-1 and he said "Remember this is a non-immigrant visa still".
Later I met with my fiance again, and went to our gate to take our connecting flight. The whole processing took about 20 minutes, but I waited in the room for about 10. The officers were very nice to us all the time. |
