US Entry was very striaghtforward. Immigration offered David best wishes after asking a few quick questions for verfication purposes. |

The CIS lady was extremely nice and kind to my wife, we were at the counter a total of maybe 10 minutes including taking finger prints. |

Actually entered at Port Huron, Michigan - no problem at Port Huron, but I had checked the week before at Algonac and was told yes, we could cross on an I-129f there so arrived there only to be met by a different immigration officer who refused to process me. Had to add another 4 hours travel time driving with 6 cats and belongings to Port Huron. Port Huron asked why Algonac didn't process and said they could have if they had wanted to! Actual processing took 30 minutes - didn't look at any documents related to belongings or pets - quick and polite. If I had known Algonac wouldn't process, we could have saved substantial travel time and gone through Detroit, although border wait times were currently ranging from 1 to 20 hours with little warning due to transport truck traffic back ups. |

About 4 CIS Officers kept passing us up as they did not want to process it as they were going, so we had to wait for shift change to finish, this was about 4pm at the Ambassador Bridge |
