I had to deal with a great guy...he didnt actually create any problem. He asked me how long we have been married and if I was moving now to America. He took my fingerprints and a picture. I was expecting to go through the inspection, but he just gave me the I-94. Then I claimed Thats it? I dont have to do anything else? And he was just like, stupified.Yes thats it you can go. Thatswhat he said. No problem for me, except that after this I found out they had left my 2 bags (both of them!!) in Paris!!! :( |

We really confused them at the border with my previous status. They couldn't figure out why on earth I was given a K1 Visa at all when their computer said I was still a permanent resident :P I won't even begin to go on about all the worrying that caused me afterward. |

We received out PGC less than one month after I had handwritten a letter questioning our status and declaring that we had been married for over two years and included our child's birth certificate!!!

At the POE they stamped my wife's passport/visa as a K-2 and my step-daughters as a K-1. Didn't notice the mistake until my wife went for her social security card. Well, another trip to the POE in Detroit for them to correct their mistake, took them 1 1/2 hours to correct the mistake. By the way, my step-daughter is only 12 years old. |
