We crossed at the QC-133 / I-89 border (into Vermont from Montreal, on our way to Maine) and it was a very smooth process. Took about 25 minutes all together, he took one fingerprint and asked no questions (other than for my sealed package). Great experience! |

Very smooth process. We were asked the standard questions when crossing the border and then when we handed the officer the packet we were told to park and go inside so the officers can file the rest of his paperwork. The process took about an hour, officers were very nice and my husband felt very welcomed into the country. |

Crossed at Pembina, North Dakota. Very easy process, but took about an hour and a half. I crossed first, with my fiance in the truck behind me (pulling a uHaul of my stuff). We were both sent inside, where someone explained he had to go through our packet (sealed envelope) and we were to wait. Took quite a long time, but when he was done, simply had to take fingerprints and was given the I-94. They had me pop my trunk for a brief glance inside, but then didn't even open the uHaul or my fiance's vehicle. I had to ask about importing my car- no one asked anything about it, but I believe it could have caused problems while trying to register in the US if I hadn't claimed it. |
