I was in line for the passport check for an hour. When it was finally my turn, the officer asked me what the purpose of my trip was. After I said immigration, she took my passport and put it in a box and locked it.
I was told to head over to some officers, who led me into a hallway and told me to follow the red line on the floor all the way to the end.
At the end, there was another desk where they took out my passport and told me to sit and wait for my name to be called.
I had to wait for about half an hour before they called me up. They asked me what my address is going to be, and what the best way to contact me is. After this I was allowed to leave.
All in all, it wasn't difficult, just took a long time. |

Very fast and nice, barely any questions asked. I had to go to the secondary, waited there 15 minutes while they were going through the file and that was it. They did ask me if I had a return ticket (more in a jokingly manner), I knew I did not have to have one and told them we will be building our life here, at which they laughed. During my wait, the officer did glance at me several times while walking back and forth with my docs. Then they told me it's done and I left the area. Overall waiting time and time spent at the airport after arrival was about 45 minutes |
