It took about an hour from the time I entered secondary till the Immigration Officer began processing my documents in the sealed envelope. The IO was the kindest IO I have ever come across... not stern at all, she was smiling and laughing during the 15 minutes it took to process everything. Wish they were all like her! |

I handed in my package to the POE officer, he then told me to walk into a room with American flag hanging on the front door. I went in there, an officer at the front door greeted me and told me to wait until my name is called. Before I even sat down, another officer called me over, so I gave him all my docuemnts, he looked at it, asked a few questions: how we met, what did I do, what my wife does, where are we llving, etc, simple questions, then he took my finger prints and told me to wait, after about 10 minutes, he walked to me personally handled me my passport and boarding pass. Very friendly. I was very surprised he actually did that instead of calling me over. And finally he walked me out the door and wished me good luck to my new life. |

We had some issues at the border in Canada but it was only because the immigration officer did not do his job right. All of our paperwork was in order and everything was ok but because he processed my fiancee's papers incorrectly, it caused us an extra hour at the airport and for us to miss our flight (even though we were there three hours early) |
