Was taken to a room for them to check my packet. I heard the officer whisper "..a soft check" to his colleague.
Had a great conversation with another officer who was passing through, which strongly suspect this was the REAL interview, but it was done conversationally without knowledge if so. |

This is the best POE. They took about 5-10 minutes to read through the papers, take the scan of the fingerprint, the quick photo, a couple of easy questions, and a stamp and on our way. We didnt even have our bags searched at customs. |

Yuk! Immigration officers were just awful. I had come for a genuine visit and they accused me of immigration fraud, saying I was going to get married to evade the law etc. They used every tactic to try to make me confess to something I wasn't planning on, including saying they'd talked to my then boyfriend AND my mother and both had apparently said I was getting married. I wasn't even engaged! Horrible experience. I wasn't planning to stay at all, but they took it out on me for an hour anyway. In the end, I did get married - but it certainly wasn't planned. |
