Arrived at Dallas POE on k-1 Visa. They took my passport and sealed envelope destined to be opened by an immigration officer only. I waited for about 15 min in the secondary inspection room before they handed me back my passport with a stamp on it indicating my date of entry and the expired date for the visa. No questions asked at all. The officer just told me I had to get married within 90 days or my visa wouldn't be valid anymore and that's all. Everything went smoothly. |

Very easy-going agent at immigration. Asked very general questions about when Roy and I planned to get married, where we were getting married, where he was going to live. Teased him for moving to Rhode Island, of all places. Reminded him that the visa was good for one entry only and that was it. |

My flight arrived after 9pm at Orlando.We were the second to last flight for the day and I was one of the last souls in the customs que. When it was my turn I told the customs officer that I was a K1 visa holder. He inspected passport and took the pack. He escorted me to the secondary inspection room where I sat on my own for about 20 minutes. Then an officer came in handed my passport back to me and told me that we must be married in 90 days. That was it!! No welcome to the USA or well wishes for a happy life or a smile. Well... I was the last one thru customs and it was already past their knock-off time... |
