Came in on K3 (+ K4)Visa ~ applied for EAD w/out AOS on June 13/08 ~ NOA1 rec'd on June 16/08 ~ Biometrics appt was August 14/08 ~ had to change interview date in MTL from September 16/08 to November 3/08, we'll see if the EAD comes 1st now ? ~ October 16/08 - EAD card being processed ~ October 20/08 - EAD card mailed YAY ! ~ Have to cancel and re-schedule interview date in MTL AGAIN :( ~ October 22/08 - EAD card rec'd in the mail YIPPEE :) ~ October 23/08 - went in to SSA office and applied for SSN + card ! ~ November 7/08 - SSN card rec'd in the mail ! (15 days) ~ November 10/08 - MTL interview rescheduled for February 4/09 (3 times lucky ?) *sigh* ~ November 12/08 - IL State driver's license rec'd :) - MTL interview FINALLY on June 23/09 !!!!! United States Immigration SUCKS !!! Visas denied pending new medicals + fees that they say we owe but have proof of paying, waste of time + money in MTL now have to get back to Canada for new medicals + who knows what else, mail to MTL, wait in Canada until it all comes back and I'm sure by then they will find some other reason why I shouldn't stay in America :( |

No problems. My fiance asked to have the EAD stamp, but they had already given it to her. She only had a three hour lay over in NY, going into JFK and out of LaGaurdia (travel agency messed up i guess), but she had enough time, and everything went smoothly. |
