We did not received the brown enevelope that you should get back with your passport. When we went thru they had just change the system so we though since he didn't get it that means they are not doing that anymore. Not so, when he went thru customs they asked him for it, he said he didn't get that, then they took him to the back in a little room, they questioned him, fingerprint him, they had him back their for almost two hours. The officer said they called the embassy in JA and they told him they gave it to him, (we are not sure if he actually called or the embassy was lieing). Well they left him go and gave him 30days to come back with the enevelope. It took two days of calling DHL and the embassy to finally get it straight as it turn out the embassy still had it. So we had his uncle picked it up and fedex it for us. |

Was taken into a room and interviewed (with the same types of questions as those asked in India) and had his luggage thoroughly searched, but the interviewer was much less rude than the man at the consulate in Delhi and everything was finished fairly speedily. |

We went through Pearson Airport in Toronto and everything went extremely smooth! My husband and I went to the first US customs officer with my passport and envelope that the consulate provided to me, and they then directed me to a second area for the immigration processing. They took scans of my index fingers, a quick snapshot and then asked us to sit down until called. It only took about 15 mins, then an officer called me to take my fingerprints, and had me sign the same form. I sat down again for them to process more stuff, then the officer called us up, and explained that not all my flags were lifted from my file. He said we'd have to ask the officer who flagged us to remove it, but other than that, we were good to go. He was very helpful, and advised us of the next steps when filing the I-751 and to mark it on our calendars since we won't get a reminder. |

Crossed at Port Huron, MI and it went very smoothly. The only slight hassle was my own fault in not having the US conformance information for my vehicles but they took the time to walk me through everything I need. |
