Easy. No Hassle. Got in visa line @ airport. They took pictures and fingerprint and then gave the brown envelop. Ex-ray not needed. Then we were escorted to the lower level to a waiting area. During this time another officer entered her data into the computer then called her name. I went up with her. He asked when we planned to get married. I said no date set but know that it has to be within 90 days. That was it. He said good luck. |

when i arrived at detroit international airport, i only had to wait for about 15-20 minutes until i was able to go through customs. The lady who did the whole interview was very nice and friendly. I was worried though because she said it was her first time to have dealt with a K-1 visa case. I only gave her my packet from the embassy, the filled out I-94 form then showed her my passport. She stamped a date on my visa, stapled the I-94 and then she explained about getting married in 90 days but also i told her the wedding was gonna after 6 days and everything was set :) She congratulated me and then I set off to get my bags which took so long to do! then i had to run to catch my connecting flight but i had more than enough time to do that since i got to detroit about 30-45 minutes earlier than my supposed arrival and my connecting was boarding at 2:05 pm so I had about more than an hour to get on my next flight :) |

The people were really nice and helpful (and even joking!). The guy I spoke with even explained more about coming back to visit, etc. I thanked him for all his help, and he said he was happy to do it because he appreciated that we'd done things the honest way. |
