Received letter 08/11/2016 saying " my conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year"
Had to get infopass appointment and get letter extension on greencard. Given 6 month extension.
4th Dec 2017 notification via email to say new card being produced.
8th Dec 2017 notification saying mailed new greencard. |

When filing I-751, send an over-abundance of photos and documents, especially if you come from a country where fraud is probably "assumed" by the case officer. Also, although there is no mention in the instructions, if possible, ask people who know you as a couple to have their signatures notarized when they send letters. This was mentioned as a criticism by the case officer in our RFE, which we were absolutely shocked to receive, believing we had sent everything required in our petition as per the online instructions. Anyway, we sent more photos and new documents to prove our bona fide marriage, and the new green card was granted. Good luck! |
