My original conditional greencard expired on 1/1/2017 and USCIS automatically mailed me an extension letter that I could carry with me to leave the country through 1/1/2018. After that they did not mail me a new letter, so I had to visit a processing center and get a stamp in my passport to extend my conditional green card again. Luckily I now have my 10 year greencard so no more worries about that! 2018-07-10
