I was concerned because the notice indicates that my husband's green card has been extended one year. I called the service center to see if he'd get a temporary green card evidencing the 1-year extension until his 10-year card comes. I was told that my husband should get a letter within 30 days of receipt of our NOA to schedule the biometrics appointment and that he will not be sent a temporary card until the 10-year card comes through. If we're going to travel out of the country (which we will), the rep advised my husband to take the NOA letter with him along with his green card and passport as that is the only evidence that his green card has been extended for a year. It will take 6 months-1 year from my husband's biometrics appointment for him to receive his 10-year card.	2011-02-11
