The guagua also took people to the Embassy for the cita. So, she sat and spoke with the people going to the Embassy. They went to the Embassy first and she saw all the people wating on line to get into the Embassy. She told me that "There are a lot of people waiting in the line". The night before the cita we are sitting in our hotel room in the hotel Jardine de Teatre right down the block from the Embassy. Our appointment is at 6:45 am. Victoria keeps telling me "We have to go early. There will be alot of people there" over and over again. I got the point the first thousand times she told me. At 3:00 am Victoria wakes me up. We shower, get dressed, pack up all our stuff, and try and eat something but are too nervous. We set out for the Embassy at 4:35 am. We arrive at the Embassy at 4:45 am. NO ONE was there! NO ONE! Not even the buscones were there! Of course we were the first in line. The are four lines at the Embassy. Line 1 says ACS (American Citizen Services). Line 2 says NIV (Non Immigrant Visas) for the K-1s, Tourist Visas, Student Visas, Work Visas Etc. Lines 3 & 4 say IV (Immigrant Visas) for us CR-1s etc. After waiting in line for two hours and 15 minutes they start to let us in. They separate the men from the women. They do an airport type screening X-raying your bags and going through a metal detector. Victoria & I meet up and went to the benches to begin the wait. The gave us number 204. After about an hour and a half they call us to window 16. The place is crazy busy and they try and move you along as fast as possible. On our interview letter the only thing they asked for was the police certificate and besides her passport that is all that they wanted. I was VERY happy to see a green slip of paper when the woman opened Victoria's file. They had her sign some papers and then told her to go to window 15 for finger printing. The finger printing is digital. For some reason I thought it would be the old fashion ink and paper. Not so. It is HOT in there and Victoria's hands were all hot and sweaty. They could not take her prints! They kept giving her napkins and paper towels and telling her to wipe her hands and the key pad. Finally success!!! Then we went back to the benches. We waited about an hour. Then we are called to window 20. We're up to bat!!! The person that interviewed us was a young white male with blonde hair and glasses. I had to admit that he was very nice. First he swears us in and then says that he will speak to me in English and Victoria in Spanish. OK with us!!!!! Me: First Question: How did you meet? Second Question: When did you first meet? Third Question: Where did you first meet? Fourth Question: Are her parents still alive? Fifth Question: What are the names of her brothers & sisters? Sixth Question: Do you have children together? Seventh Question: Do you have any children? Next Show pictures: I did. I decided to be proactive and not wait for him to ask any questions. I started to narate the photos. They want to be done quick so I was quick and kept it moving. He seemed to want to see "other pictures", he wasn't too interested in the wedding photos or photos at the beach. So I showed him pictures of us together with family and friends. These seem to be what he was interested in seeing. I'm done. Victoria: First Question: Are his parents still alive? Second Question: What are the names of his brothers and sisters? Third Question: Do you have any children together? Fourth Question: Does he have any children? Fifth Question: How old are they? Sixth Question: Where do the children live? Seventh Question: Are there any problems with the children or there mother? Eighth Question: Where are you going to live? That's it!! It's over!!! He says Congratulations you have been approved!!! Go to the DOMEX desk and pay the fee. The DOMEX desk was a mad house. The line wrapped around the room. There were so many people there they asked the USC to please sit down and only the beneficary on line. For some reason you have to wait on the DOMEX line TWICE. First time was to register, the second time was to pay the fee. P.S. I highly recommend that you choose to pickup the visa and NOT have it delivered. In at 7:00 am and out by 10:00 am Note: I did forget one part. He did ask me how many times I had been to DR. He asked me if all of my trips were to see Victoria or if I had come to see someone else or for some other reason. He asked to see my passport and looked at the stamps.	2013-04-16
