Zyzzx T & J United Kingdom California No London, United Kingdom 2012-02-15 2012-02-17 2012-06-01 2013-04-26 2014-05-12 2012-02-10 436 The reason it took so long between our NOA1 and interview is that we had originally hired an immigration lawyer to assist us before we discovered visa journey - thank goodness we did discover this community because when we did not receive an interview date within the time frame of other people here with similar filings to ours, I started doing research on my own - calling the NVC to see what had been received, etc. I found out that the NVC had never received the I-864 or the DS-230, both of which we had submitted promptly to our lawyer. Our lawyer said it had been submitted, but I insisted they "re-submit" this paperwork, and lo & behold within 3 weeks of being "re-submitted" we had confirmation of NVC receiving it. Unfortunately, this put us about 4 months behind where we should have been for an interview date. My husband did not have his interview until April 2013. He went to the embassy more than prepared, and all was fine. We had a very straight forward case, and were very prompt and organized with all paperwork. I wish I'd found visa journey earlier. With a case like ours, It would have saved us a lot of $$ and more importantly a lot of wasted time. But he finally got here! 2015-03-22

I got there for 7am, they let us through at 7.40am. I was first in line for Immigrant Visa. I was seen by first American guy at 8.10am. He checked my forms and paperwork, He asked for 2 photos , and husbands 2012 tax forms. Then he told me go back and wait in the room until my number was called again. He was very jolly and great to talk with and put me at ease :) . I was then called to second desk ( interview) at 8.25 am. I was asked to tell of how i met my husband, how our relationship progressed , how many times we had both visited one-another in each country ,Then asked to sign my form, was asked was it all true and correct , then The lovely lady said congratulations your visa is approved. YAYYYYY. all in all it was a great experience for me, they ppl at the US Embassy made me feel really great and at ease and they just asked the questions they needed to ask . I went with all paperworks, including copy's and only got asked for the two things mentioned, wasn't asked for evidence ( photos , chat logs etc ) Totally enjoyed it and like i said i was out of there within the hour of my first hop to a window . Good luck to all others. God is Awesome. Trust in God at ALL times. :) yayyyyyy No SSN# After 3rd week of being here so went to SS Office this morning 2/18/2014 and applied for it . 1 to 2 weeks and it should arrive. UPDATE Ok i just received my SS# after 4 weeks of being here.Praise God journey now done as this finalised it until 18 months then go for 10 yr one. :) Yayyy. 2016-01-13
