We were actually pretty nervous but the man that interviewed us was so nice and made us very comfortable. He really only asked us a few questions about how we met and our future plans and that was it. We did need to submit other documents - copies of my parents birth certificates or passports (because they are "sponsoring" my husband on the I-864 form - but it was very easy we just had my parents scan and e-mail them. We will need to return to the embassy to pick up my husband's passport when they finish processing, they said 3-10 days. They man who interviewed us even tried to check with a supervisor or someone to see if there was anything we could do to make it faster because were we live in Costa Rica is very far from San Jose. Of course they couldn't but we appreciated that he tried. The only bad thing about our experience at the embassy was that we had to wait a VERY long time. our appointment was at 12:15 and we didn't get interviewed until around 4:00. But other than that it was very easy and everyone was very nice. 2013-06-24
