We've learned not to gamble on making plans until we have the documents in hand, so the extra delay meant an additional $700 in ticket fees if we wanted to make our original window to travel. We tried to call USCIS and verify if we would receive the I512 or only the I797 NOA as the voice recording states, but they were very rude and only would say that the I-512 "would follow" - without saying WHEN. Chanel & Tony	Chicago National Office	First	2010-05-13	2010-05-21	2010-04-21	2010-07-01	got AP on date above but due to immigration mistake with my year of birth as 2009 we had to send it back for the necessary amendments to be made. so i actually got the AP back on the 27th august 2010. the day after i had my AOS interview. although it wasn't our mistake please double check all your documents before submitting. because when we called and notify them of the mistake they said if it was on us we would have to pay and refile over again.	2012-08-10
