I ended up taking several visits to a consulate (an hour and a half away) to try to resolved this in order for me to be able to return home to Canada to attend my sisters wedding. On our 2nd trip there, a very helpful woman made copies of all of our documents and made a case for us to speed up the process of adjusting my status. On my next visit they made a new stamp in my passport in order for me to have a one time entry into Canada while they sent me my green card. I got to visit Canada and my green card came in the mail shortly after.	2018-12-07
