The interviewer was very nice and asked basic questions about things like our prior marriages, reasons we divorced, how we met, had we met each others families, how our marriage was working out, etc. The only thing missing was record of her vaccines. The K-1 packet (the sealed one that was taken from my wife at the airport last year) had not been shipped to the interviewer prior to our appointment. She said that we had passed the interview and that as soon as she could see the K-1 packet and verify the vaccine record, she would approve the green card. It was approved exactly 2 weeks after the interview. She received her Green card 3 weeks after the interview. | 2021-03-30

Our interview was at the USCIS center in Guam. We came about 15 minutes early for the interview. Our interviewer was a pleasant friendly guy. We both wore matching clothes and he was impressed. He allowed me to interpret for my wife. He just asked us how we met and long we been together. He also asked us for some pictures. Interview took about 15-20 minutes. At the end of the interview he told us he was going to review our file and the evidences we submitted (joint tax returns, joint bank accounts, health insurance with my spouse under my plan, etc) and if everything checked out, we will get a notice in the mail. | 2021-09-14

We even contacted one of our senators but they were of little help; took us filing a formal request with USCIS to get an interview notice. Interview was waaaaay easier than we expected—IO didn't even ask to see photos; she asked a few very simple questions and requested copies of bank and utilities statements to show we live at same address. Gave us verbal approval at the end of the interview. Case Status updated to "Approved" the next day. Case status never updated to indicate Green Card was being produced or had been sent, but the card just showed up in our mail a week later. | 2020-12-07
