We all went in the USC line as a family, I handed the papers to officer who criticized my use of blue marker on the customs form (note to others, don't do that). We were put into secondary processing and the room was overflowing. It would be good to note that this was one day after the Boston bombings. It took about 1 hour and 15 minutes in secondary plus the 30 minutes waiting in the passport control line. The officers asked no questions of my husband or me. It was pretty painless in that regard and the waiting was abnormal for Boston based on comments by the staff.

POE was simple and easy. I didn't have to go through the second room, just had my visa file run through and stamped by one of the officers at the main area. He asked where I was headed, told me I had 90 days to get married, took the usual fingerprints and photo, and sent me on my way. Very smooth, took about 5-10 minutes--there was a family of four visiting through ESTA (visa waiver) ahead of me, and they took longer than I did. After all that worry, it almost felt anticlimactic!

We were seated at the back of the aircraft, so we were one of the last to get off and one of the last in the line to go through immigration. When it was our turn, I gave the officer the two sealed envelopes, which he ripped open. He firstly did my sons paperwork, while asking me a few questions;
How long had I been with my fiance?
When were we going to get married?
What I did for a job back in England?
He then checked my paperwork, looking very closely so make sure all the numbers matched up, took my finger prints and stamped everything. As soon as he gave our passports back, he starting chatting to my son and smiling. It took 15 minutes, plus 30 minutes of queing.
We went downstairs to collect our suitcases and walked out and I strated crying with happiness that it was all over!

Hello,
Our POE was in Boston. The plane was scheduled to arrive at 6:00, but was 20 minutes late due to weather. Our plane was the only one there, and I, my wife and step-daughter hurried to customs. We were the first ones there. We got in the line for US citizens and Residents. We went up to the Agent and he said," Well, your wife and step-daughter are suppose to go in the Visitor line, but I can do it." I told him, I asked many different people and they said since she was my wife I could bring her with me in this line, and then i thanked him for takining care of my family. He did the paperwork and called for a person to take us downstairs for further paperwork. We went downstairs and waited in the room for approximately 15 minutes. Then the lady called my wife and took one fingerprint and said we were done. The whole process took from landing to leaving in my car between 45 minutes to an hour.

Very smooth. The officer took the sealed package and reviewed it along with his passport. Then a nice older man walked us to a small room with other people who were entering USA for the first time. We waited about 15 minutes and then another officer called my husband's name, took his fingerprints and had him sign some papers. He then gave us a paper on social security info and the next steps.

That was it!! Quick and easy! They asked us nothing! I was also present at all times to act as my husband's interpreter and none of the officers had an issue with this.
