Interview went very smooth. It helped that we had all the documents well organized and without errors. It also helped that we have such a true loving bond because it showed through in all our documents, photos, answers to questions, etc. I am so proud of my fiancee and admire all that she has went through and is sacraficing to be together with me. She is truly wonderful! I thank God for her every day.

Even with some last minute paperwork problems beforehand the interview was a piece of cake and lasted less than 5 minutes for my wife and stepdaughter. I think it really made a difference being there for the interview and it was also my fourth trip to see my wife in less than ten months.

My visa was approved and also our request for visa pick up! Thanks to all the informative threads here in visa journey that helped us throughout the process!
The Filipina pre-screener only asked pertinent documents like divorce decrees, affidavit of support, email, chat messages and pictures.
The consul was nice, it wasn't like an interview... more of a light chat! Note that he was smiling if not laughing the whole time!
He asked me:
*Where did we meet.. told him thru internet
*what site..... Hot or not
*is he (my fiance) hot?... told him Yes sir! And so am I!!!! He laughed.
*did he propose?
*how many divorce did my fiance had?
*he asked where the pictures were taken, our picture with a background "simpson the movie" caught his attention, and our Mt Pinatubo Trek, he asked how long was the trek and told me that he once saw the crater but on board a helicopter!
* About my job....
-what kind of job I have...
-did I go into the academy or some sort of training?
-how was I commissioned?
-where am I assigned?
* he browsed thru our chat messages.... he laughed again... I asked why, and he told me coz he saw Britney! I said yes sir, me and my fiance talk about everything even Britney!! He replied back "Yes, that's what i'm looking how real is your relationship!"
*He said "Let's check if your comrades have any record of you." he typed my name on his computer, and said " Clear! and your are approved!"
I thanked him after that. I asked him for a visa pick up which he granted. I also gave him the letter request for visa pick up that Neil prepared. The pink slip was handed to me in window 37 if i can recall i right.

We arrived at the USEM at 5 AM for our scheduled 6:30 AM interview. There were already about 50 people inline ahead of us. We waited on the benches outside the embassy for it to open. It opened about 6:05 AM and the guards tried to keep order and ushered people into the embassy security check area. After clearing the security check we were place in loose order for another que where we would be given a processing number that would follow us through the entire procedure. After being issued a number, about 30 minutes after being admitted to the USEM, we waited for our number to be called. Finally it was displayed on the 'call board' about 7 AM and we went for a pre-interview with a Filipino who checked to see that we had all the proper papers for our final interview. He asked us for letters and pictures to add to the packet from the NVC. He then directed us to a line for biometric scanning. After the biometric scanning were were again directed to wait for our number to be called for our final interview. The interviews began about 8:10 AM and our number was called about 9 AM. We then went to a cubicle for the final interview where we waited a short time for the consular agent to finish a previous interview. Finally it was our turn and we entered the cubicle for our interview. We were given an oath to repeat, he signed the DS-230, previously signed by my wife, and he scanned our documents forwarded by the NVC. After a few questions he said our visa was approved...YEHAY! He did not look at our pictures or letters. I am sure they were not needed since we had already been married almost 3 years and had two babies who were made US citizens by consular report. We are now waiting for the USEM courier service, Delbros, to deliver my wife's passport with the visa to our home in Leyte.
