Review Topic: K3 Visa

we arrived in juarez on sept. 1 2008, we went to the medical the next day on the 2nd around 9 in the morning, picked up our results that same day around 4 p.m. Everything went really well and smooth until our interview day which was on thursday the 4th at 6:45 a.m, we arrived at 6:20 and the guard let my wife in around that time. so I went across the street and waited for her luckily for me I didnt have to pay for a chair I just got there and sat down on one of the chairs cause the women who was sitting there suddenly left and didnt notify the owners who rented them out. I waited for like five hours and around 11 am. my wife came out but when I saw her she was sad and she nodde her head from across the street. I knew something wasnt right, when We met up I asked her what happened she sayd, kinda crying I didnt get the visa, So we went back to the hotel and talked, She told me"" everything went ok when They reviewed my paperwork then they told me to wait for my name to be called for my interview. then my name was called the first thing I noticed on that particular window on building "B" was that allot of applicants kept leaving early from that window, so when I went up to that window I noticed that the C.O looked mad and STRICT, so she called me and she interviewed me, She asked me how did we meet I sayd we met Online, cause thats the truth I cant lie to her, she sayd how long have we been in a relationship I sayd almost 2 years, she sayd how often did he visit me I sayd 3 times a year, because he lives in california and he works allot. she sayd that was a little bit, she asked for photos I only brought 8 photos, she sayd thats a little bit she asked me do I have more I sayd yes we have tons of more photos, she sayd you should of brought more, she reviewed other evidence like phone bills which I only took 2bills from june and july, she sayd thats not enough I want to see more bills from more months in the past, I showed her a paper which showed a resume of the money my husband sent me but It was a fast resume He printed out which only showed the dates and who received it and the transffer ammount, ( I didnt printout page by page only the yearly resume) she sayd she wanted to see who sent it and who received it page by page month by month. she asked where are your marriage rings I told her I couldnt bring them because I didnt feel safe bringing them to this CITY, they are 18k really expensive rings. she sayd your should of brought them and hid them outside. I showed her letters that my husband jose sent me but they didnt have the envelope with the seal of the post office, she sayd she wanted to see the envelope with seal. well as you know my interview went very very very bad, she sayd she want Convinced, and told me I needed to come back in 1 year I asked thats a long time I have more evidence you asked for, I can bring that right of way, she she sayd ok then 4 months. She gave me a white sheet stating on the comments section"Need strong proof of Relatiionship, Come back in aprox. 4 months from sept. 4 2008" but Im confused she didnt tell me If I need to make another appointment or If I just need to come back in aprox four months and bring the page she Gave me along with the evidence she asked for. What do I do. we already have all the phone bills collected since june 2007 when we met. and also I printed out the text message bills since june 2007 ((thats allof of pages 600 pages worth of calls and text mesages) and We Printed out every moneygram moneytransffer invoice month by month since june 2007, emails also were printed out since june j2007, I started to write letters to her. I bought her a very beautiful Ring gold with diamonds as a birthday gift and sent it to her by mail, I kept the Receipt and save it also and also I found the two receipts of our Wedding Rings and her Gold Diamond Necklace I gave her, I took 138 photos when I was with her for 3 weeks, and On every day we changed clothes like 3 times to take as many photos as possible with different clothes and different places like her room, plaza, her moms room and places we traveled to like Zamora, guadalajara ect..... so we put all the photos together from past visits and we have like 213 photos all together. I cant visit her that offten cause of my work , im only allowed a month of vacations a year so I visit her like 3 times a year. for 3 weeks each time.My questions is for those of you who went through this in the past. When we go back to Juarez, are we gonna see that same consul that denied us. or another one.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Hello-
My fiance was the one who actually went to the medical and interview. I wasn't able to go due to having little money. Luckily, everything went great. I'll make this short and sweet. I don't have much detail, but once I do have more, I will add on to this.

Jorge flew to Juarez on Sunday and went to his medical on Monday. He mentioned that he got to the line around 5:30 and people had told him that they have been standing there since around 3!!! He said the people who checked him were very nice and asked him the basic questions. "Have you ever used drugs?" NO!
"Have you ever broken any bones?" NO! Don't admit to using anything even if it was just once.... that's silly! They took his x-rays, drew blood etc. He said they didn't give him any shots because of the type of Visa. He was out of there by 11 AM. Not bad. The interview was much longer. He received his medical packet that Monday evening at 5 PM. He also found out that the pictures he had ready for the interview were the wrong size so he made an appointment to get more at 5 am the next day. So he did that. He went to interview line after that. Waited until 8:30 to get in. He said he met a few people with all types of visas. He witnessed many people get denied a visa and felt bad for them. The person who interviewed him kept acting like he wasn't approved...(Body language). The guys asked him very little questions. He first asked the basics, name, birthdates, etc. THen he asked how we met. HE explained. Then later he twisted the questions around, but Jorge caught them all! Good for him!! The guy approved his Visa and he left around 3:30 PM That day with his visa in his hand!! He was able to change his plane ticket and left that very night!! He says it was quite easy to go through it, just time consuming

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

We had to submit a I-601 waiver. We were approved through the pilot program. This is an awesome program and helped our family stay together. We were in Juarez for 2 weeks for our appointments. We were very lucky and everything went smoothly.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiance and her 3 daughters flew in to Juarez on Friday, June 20 at 7:00 in the morning from Monterrey. Her cousin picked her up and dropped off the bags at his mother's house. The cousin took them to the large medical clinic across the street from the consulate at about 8:00. They completed the exams and they needed to go back to the clinic on Monday morning at 11:00 for the 2 young girls to have their TB tests to be evaluated. This was the skin test. The test was negative and they went back after 2:00 to get all of the exam documents. I drove the 5 hours from Tucson and met them at the Holiday Inn Lincoln. I had stayed there before the previous month to see Sylvia and to check on the consulate location and Sylvia quizzed the medical clinic about the 4 day requirement for the children's TB test. I have been to Juarez many times to see Sylvia because she could fly within Mexico relatively cheaply and the drive was 300 miles mostly in the US for me. The Holiday Inn is quite nice and I got a price of $59.00 USD on Hotwire.com. It is around a large block from the consulate with very secure parking and the staff was very helpful. The regular rate is $90.00 USD.The staff speaks English and the girls liked the pool. Sylvia and I double checked the documents to take to the consulate and we needed to copy my divorce documents. We found a copy place and we felt that we were set. Sylvia had talked to the consulate guard on Monday and he told her that the open appointment K-1 fiance didn't need to come before 7:30 a.m. and come to the gate and she would enter with the people with 7:45 appointments. I dropped off Sylvia and the girls @ 7:30 on Tuesday and there were hundeds of people lined up. I picked up her father at the airport at 1:30. He flew in from Queretero via Mexico City. He came to help us drive my Explorer to Tucson with the girls while I drove a rental moving truck. She hired a moving company in Monterrey to bring 36 boxes and a sofa and love seat to Juarez and meet us on Wednesday morning. I did not wait outside the consulate all day like other people who have written about Juarez. It was 100 degrees and I stayed at the hotel before I picked up her father. His plane was 1 hour late but the arrival board always said on time! Welcome to Mexico. We got back to the hotel(her father and I). She finally called from the lobby after taking a 3 minute cab ride for a few pesos. She got the visas but she and the girls had been in the consulate for 8 hours. The finger print machine was broken for much of the day and she finally finished at 3:30. Her interview involved no questions at all! They only requested the required documents. They apparently mis placed one of her pictures and told her she would need to go outside and get another one. Sylvia is a Chemistry teacher with perfect English. She told the man that she gave the woman both pictures and the pictures outside cost $15.00 USD and she would not get another picture. The staff needed to find it. He asked who she gave it to and her 11 year old pointed to the woman at window 3. The picture was found! We celebrated at Barrego's on Technological (the road from the airport). It was very good. Wednesday morning her faher, Raul, and I met the moving van (16 ft.) outside the Holiday Inn. We had to cross at the truck crossing (Cordoba Bridge). I needed him to be an interpreter between the driver and myself. I speak only simple words in Espanol and the driver spoke only a few English words. This helped me because our experience was full of twists where communication was quite important. I needed to cross the border with the cargo because I am the US citizen. Supposedly it was cheaper than holding the cargo in a warehouse at customs.Sylvia was told to cross at Ysleta which is maybe 7 miles south. She drove my Explorer with the girls and her Aunt who has a tourist visa and lives in Juarez. She left her Aunt's house @ 8:30 and crossed the Ysleta border after less than 20 minutes. She needed to stop at the secodary inspection for about 45 minutes while they processed her paper work. The guy in charge constantly yelled at people and totally intimidated the people at the inspection station. Sylvia was told multiple times that she her K-1 visa was a one time entry and she must get married within 90 days. Apparently, there are individuals who do stupid things like go to Mexico for a hair cut and can't re-enter. They also made Sylvia pay for 4 permits to go further than 20 kilometers from the border. That cost $6.00 USD each. They finally were finished and went to the Sunland Park Mall where we were to meet. The moving truck driver had neglected to get his insurance for the trip into the US so we waited until 8:00. Finally, we entered the truck line and we had an intial inspection of the passports and inquiries as to the type of cargo. The truck was x-rayed and then they made us off-load almost all of the cargo as they ran a drug dog around the cargo. We then were inspected by the Dept. of Transportation. The driver's company apparently did not do everything correctly and we stayed there until about 11:00. We drove to the Budget Rental place @ Redd Road and I-10. We backed the 2 trucks togther and exchanged the cargo. We met Sylvia at the mall and drove to my house. We ate in Deming and had Chile cheese burgers at Lota burger. We made it to Tucson at ^:00 Arizona time. We unloaded and I hope this helps someone. This site has been invaluable to me.
