Review Topic: K1 Visa

My K1 visa interview at the USA Embassy in Kingston, Please note the following:-

Do not take your cell phone inside, you will not be allowed to do so, no pens, no pencil, no lip gloss, no liquid, refreshments are sold inside, I was allowed to take my car key inside.

I took all that I was requested as per their Package 3, however, they only took the following: * Birth cert - original and copy were presented, they took the copy * Police Report - they took the original; * W2 - they took that; * Original Financial Affidavit (I-134), one for me and each of my children - they took those; * No-Impediment to marry, me and my eighteen year old - they took the originals; * My marriage cert - original and copy - they took the original; * My Divorce doc - they took the coop only; * My fiance's divorce doc - they took a copy; NB. The medical was sent to the embassy by the immigration doctors. The other documents that were mentioned in the NVC welcome letter as well as in the embassy email should be in your at the time of the embassy interview because you never know what they will request at time time.

I was asked the following questions: * Have I ever been convicted of any crime? My eighteen year old was asked this quest as well. * Have I travelled outside of Jamaica? My eighteen year old was asked this quest as well. * Have I been to any other country other than the USA? My eighteen year old was asked this quest as well. * How did we meet? * When and where did we meet? * How have our relationship been, being that 2 years of the time occurred during Covid? * Who has made the visits to date? * Why is it that I am the only one who have made visit? * Does my USA fiance plans to visit Jamaica? * Provide a synopsis of our relationship? * How do I feel about the transition that is about to happen? * When do I plan to travel to the USA? My children were asked the following questions: * How do they feel about what is happening and what is about to happen re the fact they will be in a new environment; * That they are about to legally have a step dad; * How do they feel about the fact they will have to adhere to the rules of their stepdad household, considering that they are accustomed to mom only as the head of their household; * How do they feel about going to a new school; Thats about it in a nutshell. My appointment was 1pm and I reached there at 12:10, however, I was instructed to wait until 10 minutes to 1pm to commence the process from outside to inside.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I went to my husband’s interview with him in Jamaica. Our interview was for 8am. We arrived a few minutes after 8. Outside they asked for his interview letter and 2 passport sized pictures. We went straight to the front of the first line.
After entering we went through the metal detectors and entered another line. We waited in that line for about 15 mins. Once we got inside the next part of the embassy we were seated to the right side and waited for about 90 mins for my husbands name to be called. Once called the nice gentleman asked my husband for the marriage certificate, his birth certificate and his police certificate. He did his fingerprints as well. He then instructed us to sit back down and listen to my husband’s name to be called again. We waited for about 30 mins again. This time the window we went to it was a really nice lady. She was so happy to see me there with my husband. Questions asked:

How did we meet?
Does your wife have kids?
How many?
Boys or girls?
She asked me how old my boys were and also asked me when me and my husband met lol.
She even asked my husband if he was ready for a next set of twins. Jokingly of course. ( I already have twins)
That was it besides just general convo.. we laughed and all. It was a great interview. She did not ask us for any other documents!
He was approved. We are now waiting to collect the passport back with the visa.

Review Topic: Medical Appointment

We arrived at our medical appointment two hours early 12/22/2022. When we arrived they asked for 1 passport picture, the medical papers we printed and completed, our interview letter and his immunization records. We completed all outstanding vaccines prior to his medical appointment, They took his picture. We waited about an hour and a half and they called him back. They had him read a paper sign it and pay his medical fee $30,000. He then went back to see the doctor. They checked his blood pressure, eye sight, weight and height. We waited another 45 minutes and they called him back again and completed his physical which consisted of a series of questions. They had him lay down and checked his body. He then went to take his chest X-ray and he did his urine sample, it's important to note they leave the door open and watch you give the urine sample. He sat back down and we were told he was missing the DTAP vaccine so we had to pay $4,550.00 after we paid he got his vaccine. They gave him a print out of his vaccines and advised him they would forward his medical to the embassy and not to bring the print out with him to the embassy. The medical was approximately 9 days before the interview and did not arrive in time due to the holidays we are still waiting for the embassy to recieve the results. The visa will remain refused on Ceac until it's received by the embassy.
