Journey to Naples
We are living in Rome, so we went to Naples by train. Stayed in a beautiful little B&B, http://www.ladimoradinettuno.it, extremely close to the Consulate, it took us about 10 minutes to walk there. The B&B is super clean and the staff are very welcoming! The area is also very safe and the B&B is right next to the metro! Make time to visit the city, Naples is absolutely beautiful! As for the visa process:
Day one: The medical check-up was really smooth. Not many people there with us. All you need to bring is your vaccine list, one passport sized photo, interview letter and your passport. Be ready to spend some time waiting, we were there for about 3 hours. Afterwards, we went to the Consulate for the fingerprints and that was really fast.
Day two: Arrived at the Consulate around 7:15, not really necessary to arrive early since no one is at the gate at that time. We went in and spoke first with an employee that just reviewed that all the required documents were there. Afterwards, you have to have the interview with a consulate rep. This all took place in the same room through a window. The consulate rep just asked us a couple of questions: when and how did you meet, are you living together and if so since when.....then we were approved!!!! Very simple and fast!!!!!

I went to Naples on Sept. 13. My interview was for Sept the 15. Therefore my medical was on the 14th of Sept. When I arrived to the ISTITUTO VARELLI I gave my passport to the lady and she said to wait in the yellow chairs. After I waited for 40 mins I got called to take my blood. After teh blood was taken I went to an other room where the doctor checked my vacc. list and he told me that I was going to need to get two shots. I had to pay for the visit and the two shots in that room. In total it was about 215 euros. Then I had to wait again for about 15 mins. then I had to get my xray on my chest. After that I waited again for 110 mins. After that I went to another room where there was another doctor who asked my some questions, then get a general check up with my weight and height then finally I got the two shots I needed. Then I left and headed to the cosulate to get my fingerprints taken. I waited there for about an hour. They asked my for a photo and likely I had one on me. >>> so just bring one just in case<<<< After the fingerprints I left the consulte and when back to my hotel.
The next day. I woke up at 6 am. I checked all my forms to make sure I did not forget anything. I got to the consulate around 8 and I was the number 5. I had to wait for 45 min. then I got called by a lady at the window, there I gave my forms, photo, reciept of the bank and then she said I had to pay another 172 euro ot 110 dollars for consulate fees. (I was not aware of this fee) After I paid the fees I came back to the window and gave her the reciept, the lady was very nice. The lady told me to sit and wait again. After 1 hour and 30 mins of waiting I was called back to talk with the consulate officer. The man was very nice and asked my only a few questions. After he told me I was approved and told me to go and pick up my passport at 5 oclock at the MBE. I went to the MBE at 4:15 pm and waited til 5. At 5 the man at the desk said that my passport was not ready. He said that my passport will be sent to my house with DHL. After 8 long and stressful days of waiting. My passport was finally in my hands.
DO NOT STRESS yourself. Everything will be fine and work out.

My interview was set on July 27th at 8 am. I came in around 730 and they toke my passport and told me to take seat to wait for being called. After several minutes, they called my name and told me to pledge and said congratulations you got APPROVED! It was quick and fast. they did not ask me any questions at all. They were very frienly and helpful. They told me the passport with visa stamped will be ready at 5 in the afternoon! at 5pm, i picked up the visa and i got thrilled.
