1. Our appointment was as 9:45 we got there about 7:30 8 ish.(Go Early just incase) There are two lines of people waiting. One group for residency and the other line is for all other visas.
2. They call residency line people by name and the take in about 8 people in at a time. U.s. spouses are allowed in with passport .
3. NO PHONES NO PURSES NO BACKPACKS . OF YOU HAVE THESE WITH YOU YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED IN. OR YOUR SPOUSE WILL HAVE TO SIT OUTSIDE AND WAIT. ONLY BRING PASSPORT, PAPERWORK IN FOLDER IF NEEDED & WHATEVER CASH YOU NEED TO GET A TAXI IF YOU DON'T HAVE SOMEONE WAITING FOR YOU.
4. We went through security like at the airport .
5. First waiting area the have 2 little tables next to the list of things you need to have ready so you can put PAPERWORK in order.
6. Once you have everything you stand in line until a teller says to step up. Hand them the PAPERWORK they ask for . You get fingerprinted. They asked us for a few pictures of family together, birth certs for our kids and ours and our co sponsors most recent taxes , original birth certs for beneficiary and new police record and pardon.
7. Then they tell you to sit and wait for your name to be called.
8 . They called is into a tiny room the person was behind teller glass. Asked us to both raise our hand and swear. Asked my husband when he entered the US , where, and if we had any children together. (Yes) He was fingerprinted again and told congrats . We entered at about 930 and were done buy 950 it was so fast easy and everyone was polite.

I was not able to go to Honduras with my husband for the interview because of my daughter and school schedule. My husband had his interview Tuesday, August 2, 2018 at 9:15am, my husband said he left about an hour before his interview appointment and said he dressed like if he was going to a job interview, there is no cellphones allowed or backpack or purses just your paperwork so make sure thats all you have my husband said there was people that did not listen to the instructions and they threw away their purse or backpacks. Once he was past the line he said he went to a window (kind of like the DMV) gave the documents that they asked for and sat down while he waited to be called. While he was waiting to be called he said he kept hearing other people being called and people going in rooms with the immigration officers, the he heard his name being called through the same window (he thought they probably need more information or documents the lady started to ask basic questions:
1.How many time have you entered the USA?
2. Have you ever been arrested in Honduras or the US?
3. Is this your first marriage?
4. Is this your wife's first marriage?
5. Do you have children?
6. What is your child's name?
The immigration officer said "Congratulations, your visa has been approved and it should arrive around 5 business days!"
My husband said he was in shock in how fast that went and they did not ask anymore questions as well that they only asked for less of the stuff they told him to check. The passport with the visa stamped to it came in the mail in exactly four days, I suggest you go in person and check in three days sometimes he gets there earlier than five days but if you call they will not check for you only if you go in person. My husband left back to United States the same day he received the visa so in total he was only out of the country two weeks and two days. I know it is a very scary and super nerve-racking situation but if you have been honest in your application, completed the medical exam, obtained the Honduran birth certificate, and the Honduras criminal background everything should run smoothly. Be prepared and take everything they ask on the to-do list you never know what they may ask for in the interview, good luck to anyone going through this journey!

Our interview was August 17 at 10:15. The waiting line is outside the embassy. There is a person outside making sure you are in their list and organizing the line. Our time to go in came and first we went thru security like in the airport. No cellphones allowed. Then we went I a big room. Wait in line for an agent to check our paperwork, gave her only what she asked for, birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce decree, passports, I have 2, pictures, police certificate, and medical exam. She asked me my address in Honduras and where I intended to live in USA. Our wedding date, my birthday and why I had two passports. At the end she gave us back all the papers that we sent that they no longer needed, and asked us to wait to be called for the interview. Thru a speaker another agent called me, and we went in another room with another agent. First he greet us and asked my husband if he speaks spanish. He doesn't, so the agent said he was going to talk to me in spanish and then repeat in english, I told him I speak english and he said good i will do the interview in english .He asked us to swear and took my finger prints again. He gave me a paper about domestic violence.
Then he asked:
1. When you got married?
2. Where did you meet?
3. How many time have you entered the USA?
4. Do you have children's? (To the two is us)
5. Have you been arrested by immigration?
6. Have you been arrested by the police?
7. Do you have children? (To me)
Then he said your visa is approved. Congratulations 🎉
We picked up the packet next Friday
