Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Everyone from the door security to the interviewer were very kind and professional.

We had a small hiccup where the system showed that we had cancelled our interview (we didn't) and our interviewer quickly fixed it and apologized for the extra 15 minute wait time (even with this we were in and out in less than an hour). Definitely one of the better experiences throughout this process and I have to say the Spokane office is very well run (can you please spend a few weeks helping the Social Security office? Lol) :-)

Appointment was at 08:50 am.
We arrived 08:20 at the office.
i was really nervous...
we were sitting in the waiting room when a officer came at 08:45 and asked if we can start earlier.
He was around 35 years.
we went to his office and he said we should stand up for the oath that we will tell the truth.
he wanted to see my passport and my husbands ID.
i had everything in a folder with post it and he was impressed and said it's good that i'm so organized. than i gave my fingerprints.
after that we, chatted about the weather bc it was raining really bad.
He asked me about my full name, date of birth and where i was born.
He wanted to know If this is the first marriage for us and i said yes and the last.
We all laughed,.
than he read my address and asked if this is correct and if i lived somewhere else before in the US.
After that he asked all the yes/no question on the form (those are the one... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Appointment was scheduled at 8:20am, and the officer called us back for our interview right on time. The officer went over our I485 form, and asked a few questions such as when we were married, and where we are living.

She asked for proof of our on going relationship, and all supporting documents were taken, reviewed, and placed in our file. She then entered the information into her system and approved our case. The whole process was roughly 30 minutes. Very fast and easy process.

We arrived 15 minutes prior to scheduled interview time and were the only ones in the waiting area. There was a woman with 2 kids completing biometrics. Later some people arrived for their biometrics appointments and some other things they needed to do there. We waited for 45 minutes until a male officer finally saw off people and invited us in. He announced right away that he wants to be done with our interview fast, because he had a very long 2 hour interview right before us. He asked my husband if he speaks German which he doesn't, but both my husband and the immigration officer have very distinct German last names. He saw my thick folder with documents and a photo album and was wondering what is it I have there. I told him and he proceeded with the interview itself. The first questions what is form I-485, when I answered he said it is not entirely correct but this is the closest answer to the right one he has heard yet. Basically all standard questions: name, address, if I am marri... read complete review
