The interview lasted 36-40mins not really sure but that’s how I felt.

Interview took place some weeks ago and I got to the place 30mins before the scheduled time. The place was not so crowded but you could sense the tension and anxiety most people had. I went in with my spouse and lawyer and we all had to relax just to get ready.
Exactly 2pm we were called in by a lady who had another lady (Intern:trainee) with her. We walked in and everyone seem pretty nice and welcoming. Our officer was really nice and didnt put us under any pressure until after we took the oath. She started with our address and because we had change our address which was not reflecting on the file , that made her curious, she looked at our IDs and saw that we had just recently gotten the state ID (4months before the interview) She asked why and I told her I needed to get a second form of ID and to be honest, I wasn’t really a fan of state ID since I had my passport or Work au... read complete review

Our interview was scheduled for 10:15 AM on August 28, 2018. This was for adjusting from a K-1 Visa. We dressed in business casual clothes. I wore a tie with a dress shirt and pants. My wife wore a dress shirt with black khakis. We arrived around 9 AM and there was plenty of parking. We were not allowed to be checked in 30 minutes prior to our scheduled time, so we had to wait. At 10 AM, we entered the building and went through the security checkpoint. I had to take off my belt and belongings and put it through the X-ray. We walked through the metal detector and got our belongings back off the conveyor belt. It was exactly the same as an airport screening. We then showed our interview letter to the front desk and had it stamped. We were told to enter the waiting room and wait at the stop sign. At the stop sign, we were gestured to walk to Window 6 where we showed our interview letter again. The officer asked who the beneficiary was and I told him it was my wife. He gave us a ticket num... read complete review

I’m finally ready to share our AOS interview experience on July 26th in Baltimore, Maryland

Timeline : NOA1 - May 3d, Biometrics -June 4th, AOS interview - July 26th

So my husband (US citizen) and I ( applicant) gathered all the needed documents from the list sent by USCIS. ( we got letter with interview date one month ahead) Our appointment was on July 26th at 4:00 p.m ( which is the time when office closes). We came there earlier , registered at 3:30 and started waiting ( advice here: if you have appointment closer to the end of the working day- DONT be late, they won’t let you in) . At about 4:15 officer called me by name , my husband and I headed to the door and here a very weird thing happened: she said: “ I need only Maria( applicant) for this, you ( husband) can stay here, in the waiting room “
That is what made us VERY confused, as we’d never read anything like this before .

After those ... read complete review

My interview experience at the Baltimore office:
I had my interview on June 26 2018 at the USCIS office in Baltimore MD, the appointment was scheduled at 8:30 am. We live about an hour away from Baltimore so just to be safe, because you never know with traffic, we left early and arrived at 7:30 AM. We went to Mcdonalds to eat and kill time and went in and checked in around 8:15 AM.

You have to go thru security like in the airport, but no need to take off your shoes.

The waiting room was pretty full, they do all type of interviews, oath ceremonies etc. After an hour waiting we were called around 9:30AM by a gentleman, he walked us to his office and introduced himself.

He checked our IDs and my fingerprint to verify our identities; then sworn us in. He asked if we had any other documents we wanted to add to the application, so I gave him the list below:

W2 for my husband for 2017
My husband last 2 paystubs
