The interview went fast, I thought the consular will interview me in English because my fiance is American but they just went directly asking me the questions in Vietnamese. Here are some questions I had in my interview today:
1. How did you and your fiance meet ?
2. What is that site ?
3. When was the first day you two started to talk on that site ?
4. How many times did your fiance come to see you in VN ?
5. What date ?
6. Did you have any engagement or wedding ceremony in VN ?
7. Is this your fiance's 1st marriage ?
8. Do you and him have any children ?
9. Please show me pictures of you 2 together.
Then the Vietnamese translator man said Congratulation. I said a big thank you to them after I heard that.
Wish all VJ members the best ^_^

Appointment at 8 am or 9 am
Interview around noon, asked about John's family and his job. Had a letter from John's mom, presented it to the interviewer, questions asked about John's mom.
Congratulations, you passed the interview. 5-10 minutes for interview, mostly in English but some in Vietnamese because they noticed Hoang Yen spoke a little English.

My fiancee and I had our interview and visa approval a couple of weeks ago. This review is based on what I can still remember.
Our interview was scheduled for 8am, we got there at 7:30 as the instructions said not to arrive more than 20 minutes early or 20 minutes late. I told my fiancee it was OK to be a little early based on what I've read but she was insistent that we followed instructions and of course, when we got there, we were one of the last to come in. I almost felt like if we came 20 minutes late, we wouldn't have had to wait as long as the majority of the morning appointments all came early and the lines would have died down a bit if we came late.
So we arrive at 7:30 and there was a crowd across the street by the lawn. Security was directing people over there and we made the mistake of following the crowd as we came "late" so the line to wait at the embassy outside had already gone in. Turns out the crowd across the street is for student visas.... read complete review

The experience of the wait is pretty much similar to others.
The two advice:
1. To get to the Consulate early despite the appointment letter stated shouldn't show up 10 min earlier than schedule time. It doesn't matter! You will cut off the wait time.
My schedule was at 745 AM -> got to Consulate at 720 AM -> I got number 21-> actual interview was around 945 AM -> Got out at 950 AM.
2. Be well prepared - even if you probably wont need the evidences.
The questions CO asked me:
Q: "Is he your fiance?" <-- pointed at my fiance
A: "Yes"
Q: "What's your name?" <-- directed to my fiance
A: "his name"
CO told my fiance to have a seat.
Q: "How long had you studied in the US? What University? What major? When did you go back?"
A: I answered thoroughly
Q: What do you do since then?
A: my current job
Q: How do you know your fiance?
A: same group of friends
Q: How m... read complete review
