I arrived at 6.45am did the long line at the embassy and after going through the check points I was finally inside. I took a number and waited for about 30 min to go to the first cubicle, the person (very nice) asked me for the forms and the physician results. I have her what she needed and then asked me a few questions like: where does your fiance live? how old is he? How many times a year you see each other? How long have you been together for? (5 years now) have you ever visit him in the US? Where is your boyfriend now? and when are you planning to get married? Really easy questions, anything related about his career, his family... I brought a good amount of evidence (boarding passes, emails, phone bills, text messages) but the person only wanted to look at the pictures.

When I went to the second cubicle the other person (very nice, by the way) did not ask me anything about my boyfriend or our relationship, she only asked me about my time living in Germany. Did you ... read complete review

Overall, our day was full of adventure! We arrived at 7:30am. We were not on the list and had to wait an hour outside while our appointment was confirmed by the Immigration office. Once we were inside, our number was called within 30 minutes. We both approached the window and once we mentioned why we were there we were told that there were no K1 interviews that day. Luckily, we had our email that was sent with our date. It seems their system said that our interview was the next day, a day after the date that was emailed to us. All in all, there were 2 1/2 interviews. They briefly spoke with us when we first approached the window, then my fiance had an interview where he submitted nearly all of the forms. All forms were thoroughly checked and he was asked about how we met, how long we have been together, his job, where and when we will get married...she was very nice!!! They took our forms and pictures to review and he was told to pay and wait for the next interview. The cons... read complete review

It was an amazing experience!!!! The only negative were 5.5 hours we had to wait. We arrived at the embassy at 7:30 am, we went through a short line for security, and then we went to the immigration section. People, DON'T stand in lines! ask first cause there's so many lines for other visas that they're NOT for immigrant petitions. We grabbed a number and wait like 2.5 hours until our number was called. A lady asked me for my documents (ds230, ds156, ds156k, birth certificate, police record, i134 and only taxes) I brought his letters from the bank and work but she didn't want them. Then she asked how we met, for how long, how many countries we have visited, when we got engaged, etc. Nothing bad . Then she asked me to sit and wait for a second interview (wait 2 o 3 hours), and the next lady (a REALLY SWEET lady) asked me if my fiance was there with me, wich I said yes. SHe asked him some basic question about my family (very very basic questions), then she asked me if I speak english wic... read complete review

Overall the interview went well. They are very thorough with the questions. They want to know how the relation started, when did we met, how many times my spouse can to see me, they asked about the parents and if dead or alive, occupation and many genral questions that one should know about their significant other. If you go make sure you have all originals or EXACT copies of the originals. I was well prepared and my husband and I went over everything twice via skype. It was not as nerve racking as I thought it would be...
