I'm writing this on the behalf of my fiance since he doesn't have an account on here.

He got there about an hour early he saw a man first who took his passport didn't take his passport photos just scanned them and handed all four back to him, took his finger prints, took the affidavit of support, birth certificates, police certificates, asked if he had made any travel plans (I think to kinda trick him) gave him his chest X-ray back, and told him to sit down. Not even five minutes later he was called to another window where the lady asked if either of us had been married before asked to see both divorce papers took his finger prints again asked about a wedding date and joked about Georgia heat in August looked at her screen and said "everything seems to be in order we’re going to go ahead and approve the visa put his passport and other documents in a pink plastic wallet and said that’s it, congratulations you should have your passport within 3-5 days". I arrived at the front gate for the appointment, and the two people scanning the tickets were very nice. I then went through security - I was slightly worried about my key fob but it was no problem. I then queued for a second time inside the embassy foyer - the only had one person checking and putting on the appointment stickers, but she was efficient and I was on my way within 10 minutes. I followed the instructions: up the lift, out and turn left, and all the way along to get to the K1 visa zone.

There was one other guy being processed in front of me, and after he sat down again I was up to give my documents to the first cashier. He was cordial and polite, and after taking my prints and documents I was sat back down. He gave me a copy of my medical on disk, in an unsealed envelope. 10 more minutes passed and I was called up to the window. The official was very professional and went through my documents again, whilst asking me some casual questions about where we had m... read complete review

Interview was quick and easy. No unexpected questions. My husband did however draw a blank when asked what our wedding date was... The person doing the interview thought it was funny.

So.... I had my interview at the US London embassy this morning.
I arrived at Vauxhall station at 10:20am, and my appointment was at 11:30. I walked over and since I was a little early, I went to Waitrose for a drink.

at 10:50, I made my way to the south pavilion entrance, where there was a booth with a nice lady sat outside. She asked for my interview confirmation letter, as well as my passport. She then stuck a note to it with my number on and asked me to go into the scanning room.

I had a small cabin sized luggage with me as I stayed in London overnight, but was unable to take that inside. So be aware of that!

I entered the room, asked to put my bag on the xray machine, walked through the body scanner and all was ok. (i had a bottle of water with me, which an officer asked me to take a drink of (to make sure it wasn't poisoned or contaminated i suppose)).

I then made my way to the actual embassy, which was a 30 sec w... read complete review
