Arrived to my appointment 20minutes before my appointment time and I was able to go straight through the check-in and airport-style security very quickly.
There was a bit of a line to get into the main building after that but it moved at a steady pace and there was a member of staff checking if she needed to move anyone to the front of the line due to their interview times.
Once inside the main building one of the ladies at the front got up to leave and then the line stopped moving for about 20minutes. I think the printer was out of paper maybe or something but it was very odd. Once she came back the line started moving again and everyone was helped.
When I got to the front she took my DS-160 and gave me a sticker with my number on it. She told me to go in the lift to the first floor (i think it was the first), turn left and then left again and look for my number on the screen.
As soon as I got to the area my number was already on the screen and I went the g... read complete review

I'll be pretty comprehensive because detailed reviews really helped me out when I was reading up on the interview.

So I arrived at 10:45 for my 11:30 appointment. I was told to come back for 11:15. When I first arrived there was a pretty sizeable queue but when I returned the queue had really died down.

They ask you for your DS160 and passport, then tell you to keep these out when you walk up to the lobby.

Security was quick and easy, they let me through with my paper-sized briefcase and had no issue with my phone.

I walked up the outside of the building and arrived in the big open lobby where there was 1 line, after 5 minutes I was called up to the counter and handed over my DS160 and passport again, they stuck a sticker on it and told me to go up to the 1st floor and head left and to keep going left until I reached a small cordoned off area. The sticker on the DS160 also tells you what 2 number windows you'll be called too, ... read complete review

Had my interview on the morning of 26th Nov. It was a good experience.

Was asked to produce print out of DS-260 and passport upon arrival to booth outside embassy, after that we were instructed to wait to one side with other people there for immigrant visas (we were a bit early). A few minutes later we were all waved in. I went through security and joined the visa queue. We didn't jump the queue as others have said they did, none of us getting immigrant visas were told to do it.

It was a short wait though and we got to the front desk, which checked our passports again.

After going upstairs you go up to the booths twice, first time to submit documents: DS-260 print out, passport, birth certificate, police certificate, a photo (which was returned after it was scanned) and the courier document. The only thing they kept was the passport. I was also given a CD of my chest x-ray by them.

After documents are photocopied I waited to ... read complete review

Beautiful building. Very well organised and knowledgeable employees. I was in and out of the building in about 15 minutes! After getting through security and getting to the right place, I was called up immediately to give in my documents. I didn't even need photocopies and they weren't that interested in seeing anything else I brought to support the application. Just my birth certificate, passport, police certificate and some evidence of support (they only wanted a headed letter showing fiance's employment and some paystubs). I was then called for the interview about 30 seconds later where the lady asked me very basic questions like how we met, where we intend to live etc. and then it was done! Seemed very much like a formality and to be honest it felt a bit anticlimactic after all the months of waiting and worrying!

Posting on behalf of my fiancé:
Interview was on November 19, 2018

Hey everyone, just wanted to give as detailed as possible description of my experience with all this process from Medical at Knightsbridge to the Embassy and hope it helps at least 1 person. Ill be going through my experience and my advice on best hotels to get nearby for good prices and close location.
Please remember this is from November 2018
The worst part is filing the paperwork and then waiting for it to become approved which is the longest and most drawn out process imaginable. When it came through I jumped at nearest medical and embassy appointment time deliberately leaving 7 working days between.

Knightsbridge
I booked a room at the Amber Lodge Hotel, you get what you pay for a VERY nice room less than 7 mins walk from Knightsbridge (Marylebone ONLY there are other locations, DO NOT BOOK unless you are going to the one at Bentick Mansions). I... read complete review
