Arrived at the embassy at 7 30 am. Big queue but moved fairly quickly. Required to show appointment letter and passport. Then into security. Do not bring mobile phone, they won't let you in.
Approached reception and gave letter and receipt of MRV fee and was given a number. You are then sent to the waiting area. After 10 mins my number was called. The first IO was an Eastern European man. Very friendly and efficient. Asked for receipt, letter, I 864, 3 passport photos and passport. He than asked a few questions about immigration history. He handed back my chest xray cd, asked how we met and then sent me to wait for next interview.
After 10 more mins , I was called up again. This was a very sweet lady. She asked to raise right hand and declare I was telling the truth. Asked where we met again, what my fiance did for a living and when we planned to get married. Then she said we were approved. Off I went to pay for delivery. Whole thing took 2 hours.

My appointment was for 9am and I arrived outside the embassy for about 8am. There were about 25 people in the queue in front of me, and this was well timed because about ten minutes later the queue tripled in size.
People were being let through to security a few at a time, showing their appointment letter and passport to a couple of people on the way. Security was similar to airport security. From here, you walk around the building to the entrance on the right and receive a ticket number. Then it's just a matter of waiting for your number to be called.
I managed to get a ticket by about half 8, and I was called on time for my appointment at 9. The man behind the desk took all my paperwork (passport photos, I-134 documents, police certificate, birth certificate etc.) and took my fingerprints. Okay so here is how my big day went
I stayed at the heathrow Ibis, got there at 6pm, tried to sleep but woke up at 9pm and was too excited to get back to sleep lol. Took the hoppa bus to heathrow at 4:20am, then got the first tube into london at 5:15am. Arrived bond street at about 6:00am, and got to embassy at 6:10am LOL !! So sat on a bench and read my metro. Saw two people queuing at 7:00am so decided to join them, one was there for a non immigrant VISA, the girl was there for an immigrant one. so we chatted a bit
At 7:30am they started letting us in, you go through security 4 at a time, and by the time we went in, the queue was about 60 people long, so i really would recommend queuing at 7am. I was seated with my number (I-902) By 7:45am.

I had my appointment set for 9am on the 11th July.
I made sure I was there in good time, so I could deposit my phone at Gould's pharmacy, which I did so, before joining the queue in to the embassy at around 8.30.
After getting my appointment letter and passport checked, I was called to go through security. I had to remove my belt and place all my paperwork in to a tray to be scanned. The security guard asked me if I had any electronic greetings cards in my file, which I did, so I was asked to dispose of or deposit them at Gould's. I chose to dispose of them for no reason, other than wanting to get in and out of the embassy.
Once inside, I was given a ticket number (I918), which I took and went to sit in the waiting room. I immediately went to get a drink from the far end of the waiting room and sat down. I had my interview in London on 18th July, set for 9am. I got there at 8, having stayed in Marylebone overnight, dropped my phone off at Gould Pharmacy and joined the queue for security.
There were a number of people who got sent out of security and up to the pharmacy - no electronics means no iPods, car key fobs, phones, you name it, but there were some who either didn't know or didn't realise.
Got through the security and through to the welcome desk past the Met policeman with his MP5 sub-machine gun! and received the code I915 - meaning, I presume, the 15th immigrant visa applicant of the day. I sat down in the waiting area and got my book out!
The wait was just under 2 hours, and I was called through for the document check (taking the original and copies of birth certificate and police certificate, etc) and she took my passport. After a couple of questions I was sent to sit down again.
